Tina Ruggiero

A respected registered dietitian and communications professional dedicated to excellence, Tina Ruggiero has been a health coach and trusted nutrition advisor to corporations and individuals for nearly 16 years. Passionate about sharing her knowledge, Tina (fondly called The Gourmet Nutritionist) has been heard on radio, seen on TV, and her writing has appeared in magazines such as Family, Good Housekeeping, Elegant Bride, Men's Health, The NY Daily News and First for Women.

Currently, Tina is President and founder of Nutrition Dialog which offers expert spokesperson capabilities, media relations, writing and recipe development services to the corporate sector and provides private clients with solutions for weight loss, disease management and other nutrition concerns. She is also an active member of Chefsline.com, the nation's only live network of culinary professionals available to consumers nearly 24/7. Most recently, Tina became the Nutrition correspondent for WFLA where she appears on the syndicated show Daytime, which has 20 million viewers.

Tina's experience and education, which includes a background in journalism and marketing coupled with an advanced degree in nutrition science, provides the foundation and perspectives necessary to power www.VoiceofReason.net, her blog that aims to simplify complex issues and provide context for nutrition and health news of the day. Her site attracts thousands of individuals from around the globe who log on to read her crystal clear perspectives about food issues, healthy eating, fitness and nutrition.

Tina began her career at the prestigious University Hospitals of Cleveland. She has been widely published in both the trade and consumer press, has given numerous interviews about the subjects of food and health and has a passion for teaching. She serves as an adjunct instructor at the University of Chicago. In addition, Ruggiero is an active member of the American Dietetic Association, the American Marketing Association and the IACP.

A native New Yorker, Ruggiero received her B.S. with honors from N.Y.U. and her M.S. and R.D. from Case Western Reserve University. She currently resides in Florida where she maintains her black belt in Tae Kwon Do to stay in shape (and work off everything she enjoys cooking and eating). She is now training for her first "century cycle," or a 100-mile ride on her bike.
